May Update – Tabletop Simulator version coming soon
Hi everyone, I hope that you’re all keeping safe and well during this virus outbreak. The current situation has definitely changed the landscape in terms of board game publishing. I just wanted to reassure people that our plans for relaunching the game haven’t changed. As soon as we have a date, we’ll post a big update.
Tabletop Simulator Version
One of the interesting developments in response to lockdown is the rise in popularity of digital board games. Online platforms like Tabletop Simulator have made it possible to continue playing the games we love with our friends and families, which has been a welcome relief for so many people – ourselves included!
So we’ve decided to develop a Tabletop Simulator version of Damnation: The Gothic Game to get some more feedback and help us further improve the game. What’s more, we’re hoping to have this up and running within the next couple of weeks. I’m super excited for this and I’ll share some more concrete news on that as soon as we have a release date.
As we gear up for relaunch, we want to improve our presence on Instagram. We have absolutely tonnes of great art, created by the wonderful Hue Teo, that we want to show off. So we’re going to be posting all the concept sketches, the illustrations, and the cards themselves so that you can see the exact process of how the art for the game was made. We’d really appreciate you giving us a follow on there: https://www.instagram.com/blacklettergames/
We’ll also be running a competition on Instagram soon where you can win a copy of the 1992 original, The Gothic Game. Keep an eye out for that!
That’s it for now – stay safe everyone, and I’ll be in touch soon.
